Sabrina Carpenter's holiday hairstyle would be right at home in Whoville.
For the premiere of her new Netflix holiday special, A Nonsense Christmas, Carpenter channeled the joyful, Christmas-loving residents of Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas with her cheery half-up hairstyle. It definitely shares some DNA with her usual big, fluffy blowout—with a festive holiday twist, of course. Hairstylist Evanie Frausto pulled Carpenter's blonde hair half up and pinned at the crown of her head, with the lengths styled in enormous, voluminous ringlets down her back versus her usual bombshell waves. In true Carpenter fashion, however, the style isn't princessy, fussy, or overly formal; instead, the curls look like she's been running her fingers through them all night, with just the right amount of tousled texture for that signature sexy-with-a-wink Sabrina Carpenter style.
The star's beloved curtain bangs were present and accounted for, of course, as was her often-imitated, Tiktok-viral flushed, blushed baby pink cheek. The rest of her makeup, by Carolina Gonzalez, was perfectly festive, with a sparkling, shimmery eye shadow and bright crimson lip reminiscent of the Grinch's Santa suit. Carpenter skipped a matching red manicure in favor of short, naked nails and cozied up in a black and white faux fur vintage Chanel jacket and miniskirt ensemble. We could easily see her hanging out with the ultra-glamorous Martha May Whovier as played by Christine Baranski in the 2000 Grinch movie, singing carols and helping the Grinch discover the true meaning of the Christmas season. Aww!
But the best part about this style is that it would be super simple to replicate for a festive occasion of your own, even if it's far away from Whoville. A few bobby pins, some hot rollers or a big barrel curling iron, a soft-hold hairspray, a red lip, and you're basically Sabrina Carpenter!
